Chihuly Garden and Glass - Seattle, WA

Joey and Morgan’s wedding at Chihuly Garden and Glass was a study in color, movement, and meaning. Inspired by the museum’s glowing installations, the floral palette leaned into warm tones of yellow and orange, softened with touches of brown for balance and depth. Sculptural blooms which included cymbidium orchids, peonies, ranunculus, phalaenopsis, and oncidium. They were chosen to echo the organic forms of the glass while feeling grounded within the space.

One detail held particular significance: dogwood, the state flower of Morgan’s home. Though well past its typical season by late June, it remained quietly important. After reaching out to multiple growers, I was able to source a limited amount, allowing it to be thoughtfully woven into the designs. We knew that this is an intentional detail that carried both memory and meaning.

Designing for a Chihuly Garden and Glass wedding is always about balance which is creating florals that complement rather than compete. This celebration felt like a natural extension of the space: artful, immersive, and deeply personal.
